Award Nomination Instructions:
1. Nominate only one person per form.

2. Tell us everything you can about why this individual deserves an award. Do NOT limit the nomination for a specific award as they may be eligible for different categories, increasing their chance of being awarded. The committee will place that individual in the category that best exemplifies them.

3. Be as accurate as possible with spelling of name, certification levels, affiliation, etc.

4. Only nominations with a detailed narrative for the "reason why they deserve an award" will be considered.

5. Nominations must be received at the SPEMS office no later than 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2026.

6. If your nominee is awarded, you will be notified on March 24th. It will be your responsibility to ensure the individual comes to the conference to receive their award.

​SPEMS CONFERENCE 2026 T-SHIRT CONTEST

SPEMS is conducting a 2026 SPEMS Conference T-Shirt design contest. Everyone is eligible to participate. All submissions become the property of South Plains EMS.  

The rules are as follows:

1. The theme must primarily incorporate the essence of EMS. Hospitals & Fire Departments/logos (i.e.: Asclepius & Maltese cross) can be incorporated within the design along with the Star of Life maintaining mutual respect for all entities.  

2. There can only be 2 colors of ink in the design. The color of the t-shirt can be incorporated within the design as a third color.  

3. The major design will be on the back of the shirt. The design on the back and the logo on the front of the shirt should complement each other. 

4. The SPEMS Logo will be on the front left chest of the shirt. You can be creative with the logo as long as the star of life & “South Plains EMS” is present.  

5. The SPEMS motto is “Saving Lives on the South Plains”. This can be incorporated into the design, but it is not an absolute requirement.

6. The design must not have anything unethical, immoral, political, or illegal on the design.  

7. It would be preferable to refrain from putting the date on the shirt.  

8. Consideration should be taken in the size of the design to fit on small to 5X t-shirts.  

9. You may submit multiple designs for consideration.  

10. Copyrighted designs cannot be submitted. Your submission must be an original design. Designs cannot resemble a copyrighted design or logo. 

11. It would be preferable to submit the design in a digital/electronic format. 

12. The deadline for submitting your design is 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 23, 2026.  

13. The Awards Committee reserves the right to make changes. Once submitted to the printers they will make any technical revision or minor changes necessary in order to print the design as closely to the original as possible.  

14. The winning designer will receive $50.00, a free t-shirt, and recognition at the Awards Luncheon…and have their design immortalized on the backs of countless EMS, hospital & FD personnel in the South Plains region.
